Healthcare Technical Officers

We're looking for a number of committed people to offer vital support to our Processing Department. Reporting to a supervisor, you'll assist the work of our Processing team. This will involve processing blood and pooling platelet concentrates alongside various routine tasks. Your responsibilities are wide-ranging. They include receiving and checking blood, samples and tissues, monitoring component storage fridge, labelling products, attending laboratory meetings and working to standard operating procedures. In short, you'll ensure blood donations are ready to be used in life-saving operations.

You'll be liaising with all kinds of professionals, including the processing manager; so you'll need excellent communication skills. Just as important though, will be your ability to organise, prioritise and keep accurate records.
